Default Wood stoves

Just bought a camp chef alpine wood stove for my 16x20 outfitters tent. Just wondering how big and what kind of stoves you guys are using to heat your tents.

what's the dimensions of the one you bought? the one I had for my 12x14 was 28" long and appears by the pics I googled that it is the same as what you bought and it was sufficient enough for the size of canvas wall tent I had.

These are the ones I use. The round one heats my 12 x14 and the other I have since modified to fit as a top pack as a one piece stove that the legs come off.

I had to make my own because I could never find one that worked for what I wanted with a weight restriction

I never thought of putting damp wood in it. Usually we try and find dry standing spruce. It burns hotter than hell, just not for very long even when dampened right down.

lol not sure how you read my crazy last post. My phone must have had a mind of it's own. I find it's hard to start with the not so dried wood but once you get it going then put the bigger not so dried logs on and close the doors on it. It will last longer and the air seems more moist as well so it is easier to sleep.
I actually put a pot of water on top of the stove and it slowly evaporates and gives the air some moisture.
Birch also lasts longer as well.
Hope that is a better paragraph this time haha
