That's brutal! I tore the ligaments in my ankle during elk season about 6 years ago. I went to see an orthotist who fit me for a hinged rigid plastic ankle brace. I needed longer boot laces to make it work, but I was able to still hunt the rest of that season. I hope it works out okay for you!

She's a little purple. That just means I'll be slower on the trail.

Take a good walking stick and use it properly. Should help keep some weight off and should make the last half of the day a bit easier.

That's about what I did to my foot while on my first sheep hunt, solo. Wasn't quite that bad, but had to lay low for a day and a half to make it work...

Get some Arnica Oil and rub it on there a couple times a day . Really speeds up the healing for that kind of stuff , also if you can get homiopathic arnica its amazing .
good luck

I developed a mole on my foot too prior to sheep season one year. It didn't really affect my hunt though

Swelling is mostly down and it fits comfortably in my boot so I'd say I'm good to go!

The new zone I have been scouting this year isn't open yet. I'm coming to kill your sheep!

Told ya
Kidding aside, sorry to see....I have a bad knee which prevents me from hitting the high slopes for sheep...really, there are so few opportunities to do this, missing just one is a tragedy.
Hope you can figure something out.

Better to do it at home so you won't have to do it up the hill.
