There sure is.

"So far, under what they collectively call Operation Bruin, six Canadians and two Americans have been convicted in Canada with penalties totalling more than $85,000."

Quite the poaching/illegal export operation. Several Alberta hunters were found guilty already.

I’ve been following this a bit , it was for a black bear. Looks like the Alberta hunters may have been led down the garden path by the American outfitters.

I would have thought bringing back a Black bear from Alaska would have been relatively simple and without legal difficulties.

This five year old thread will help explain that this was not a "mistake", by the outfitter or Fred. Hope the links are still good.

Fred and Ben were party, including actively participating in illegal hunts, with a damn big international conspiracy in the US, the Yukon and Alberta.

This might be the case where Fred was convicted of illegally being in possession of a bear hide.

So do you still think that Fred was following flowers or was this a case of birds of a feather?

Don’t know about Fred’s situation , but I think some of the other Alberta hunters were led along.
