Talking 2012 PIF THREAD ENDS tomorrow DEC 15

Same as last year, today starts the first part of the thread. I will tally up the results for our charity contribution recipient and run a poll for contributing members in the next couple weeks.
This thread will run for six weeks, unless it fizzles.

THE RULES! READ BEFORE YOU PARTICIPATE!

-You MUST give before you can take. If you say "I want 'x' and ''y" is my offering I will have your reply deleted, and you will not be able to continue in the thread.

-this is not an auction. Your gift is just that, a free gift for anyone that has given already. Do not treat it like an auction, you may and are encouraged to show the value of your item, but you can not say "I want .... For it".

-For every item you PIF you may take another's gift, but please keep the value of the item you TAKE roughly equal to the item you GIVE. Ie, do not expect to get a riding lawnmower if you give a matchbox car.

-you can give as many items as you like, they do not have to be claimed before you can take someone else's gift. Do not claim a higher number than you have given.

-After you have given your item(s) YOU are responsible for ensuring it gets to the person that claims it UNLESS you make it very obvious it has to be picked up.

-when your item has been claimed, get it on the way to the claimee fast. Do not wait for your item to get to you before you send your item out. If you feel cheated contact me, NOT THE MODERATORS, they are busy enough. There are always a few people that do not receive their gifts, let's not repeat that this year.

-if you see a PIF that you would like to claim, do so by hitting the quote button for that particular button, and say "I WOULD LIKE TO CLAIM THIS PLEASE". Do NOT claim by using pm, let's keep it in the open.

-try to put up a picture of your gift, if you need help posting pictures one of us can help.

-I will do the thread inventory, I can handle it, and it keeps confusion down.

HAVE FUN!
Let people know in the other forums if they do not come into general, and let's make the third year as big a success as the first two!

GO!!!

I will start with one of my handmade fish bonkers! Value $85.00
(stand hit included )

I will put up a bass pro ice fishing chair.

It is a red fold up chair with a rod bag attached to it and the whole thing can be worn as a back pack.

http://www.thefishinhole.com/index.c...oduct&se=24176

It is the same as this one but all red instead of blue and black.

It is similar to this clam one but not near as fancy and red instead of blue.

Pay it forward

I have an older FL8 that is made by Si-tex. Vexilar then bought Sitex out and continue to make the FL8 so it is exactly the same as the Vexilar, but with an older style flasher screen (has the little light bulbs for flasher). In working condition , comes with transducer, powercord and puck transducer, all you need is a 12v dc power source. value $100+ sez ebay. Pick up only

This is for those that have a vintage SXS that they want to shoot some birds with it but cannot find ammo for - I will load a box of brass cased shells in either 12, 16, or 20 with 7 1/2 lead and black powder - just name the gauge and I can load it for you with a completly safe charge.
We can figure out how to get it to you later.
P.S. I will also supply you with complete loading data so you can load them up again - the cases do not wear out!
You must ensure that your gun is in safe shooting condition, of course!

I would be all over that if there was a way to get it down to me in Lethbridge.

I am not clear on how this benefits a charity cause at all?

Seems fun though!

Arach, that seems to come into play later, but I believe they raised over $5,000 a year ago.
Ken will have all the answers.

It is fun.

Well, ok! I'm in for a good cause!

I am offering an authentic commemorative 9/11 piece by Vanmark's Red Hats of Courage line entitled, "Image of Hope".

It is a limited edition, first-run and this one is number 10 of 1,382.

I am uncertain of the value, but I believe it to be in the $200 range because of the low number and first run.

However, because it is so delicate, it would have to be picked up, or I could meet someone in the Calgary area on Nov. 13-14, or in Lethbridge at a mutually agreed-upon time.

Default Capstick: Death In The Silent Places

If you look closely at the photo you will notice that I have two copies of this book. The older one on the left is an authographed personalized copy that turned up in a used bookstore in Saskathewan ........... I'm keeping that copy.

The other one is up for grabs

"Same as last year, today starts the first part of the thread."

Part 1 is giving and taking PIF gifts. We will get to part 2 after the thread gets rolling.

Part 2 is where you can give money as a PIF, which YOU determine can be either given to the charitable recipient we choose, after the poll, OR YOU can say "I am giving $.00 for anyone that could use some extra money." The person that claims it can keep it, or give it to the charity.
Someone said they liked the idea of helping our own members, and I agree.

Not a big deal if we can't figure anything out.

Someone else can gladly claim them that is able to meet up with you instead of arranging a shipping trip to the south.
