The yellow Offshore boards (Model OR12) work well, and you need one for each side. You can get tattle tale flags tooo and they help you see when you have a small fish on or shen you are dragging weeds. The clips on those boards work well with Fireline or Mono. I can't really say I have had much use for boards in Alberta other than when I have had four people in the boat and we have been trolling crankbaits. You will have lots of fun learning how to clear lines without tangles! When I used them in the states we could use two lines per person, so we used them there to spread stuff out. People usually use them to spread things out or run lures up shallow to try not so spook fish with a boat. The fish just don't seem to affected by the boat or other circumstances so I have not used them much around here. Hope this helps, Chris
