Default West of Rocky

has any one been out west of Rocky towards Nordegg? Harlech? is there still ice on the creeks? spring fever is driving me insane. i need to get out and do a little fishin.

things are pretty iced up near Nordegg still

Stillwaters are still ice-fishable. Shunda and Chambers Creek are open in spots. NSR. Prairie, Clearwater, Stauffer. I imagine some sections of the Blackstone is open.

Make sure you check the regs before you go, I'm not sure what's open and what's not but Prairie Creek has been fishing fairly well.

Just a heads up that the blackstone doesn't open for fishing until june 15

thanks. i definitely check before i go.

What about north of Hwy-11. Up towards Macgregor lake or the baptiste river in behind jackfish?

I'd imagine Baptiste is open (ice-free in areas) but as I said before check the regs to make sure it's open to fishing.

yeah the baptiste is open. i'm just tryin to figure out where to go this weekend. I'm headin to family in RMH on Fri probably, so would like to get out and do some fishing, maybe quadding to.

i was thinking about maybe prairie - never fished it, but i'm not sure where to even start.
