Default burbot

can you fish for burbot during the summer months?, only really ever heard of catching them thru the ice

u bet you can. i remember reading an article written by Brad Fenson a while back, on this very subject. i would think they like the cooler, deeper waters in the hot summer months.

Burbot sure have gained huge popularity in the past couple seasons!!

You can catch em in rivers also. Used to catch em in the Peace when the water would get dirty and a little high. Once you'd catch one there was a bunch more that followed.

I caught a burbot this summer at the Pigeon Lake provincial park. I was very suprised to see that at the end of my line.
