Default Cisco/Tulibee

Hi All,
I caught a Tullibee/Cisco out of Slave Lake and was going to eat it. I once heard that these fish can be wormy? I would imagine you could still eat it no prob?

Yes, but make sure you cook it decent. Most fish can can worms, you can usually see them. So it's up to you to eat the fish, personally if I fillet something that has worms it goes in the garbage, can't get past the gag reflex.

Fish from any species can have worms in their meat. They are NOT harmful to humans, but can be unsettling. If your worried about it, you can hold a fish fillet up to a bright light, and you will see the small dark spots were the worms are(kind of like candling an egg). Then you can cut out the piece with the worm and use the rest.No need to waste the whole thing. As with all types of meat, cooking well is a good bet.

We caught a few out of Slave on the weekend to, perfectly fine to eat. Not really much different than a Whitefish.
