Like I always say I have no problem helping fellow anglers enjoy our province..

I spend quite a bit of time out on 40 Mile,, my favorite lake in the south. Personally that I have found just about all of the points are good structure. We catch fish up and down the east side of the lake. There are many deep holes that seem to contain fish. A good place to start,, on the east side about half way down the lake there is an irrigation pump,, start there. After that work your way a bit back north there should be a fairly decent rock pile on shore another good spot. If nothing head farther south you will notice a small access road coming down onto the lake from the east. Fish just to the north side of this road. Fish in depths ranging from 15 to 30 feet. Start your holes fairly close to shore about 50' the lake drops off fast. The lake can produce some awesome walleye not a lot in the winter but they are there. We were out once this winter and didn't do very good but that is little indication of what the lake is capable of. It also holds good numbers of nice Burbs so be ready for them,, some real humdingers in there.

Run Jigs tipped with shiner minnows seems to produce quite well..

Have fun and give us a full report when you get back..

Now go get em..

thanks. i share the same point of view, everyone thinks by giving off a "hole" that the lake will be ruined... fact is, not everyone fishes the same and some more experienced than others etc etc.

maybe you have the secret for the spot, and im just fishing blind. lol

i will let you know, thanks bud!

I have lakes around Edmonton, if ya ever head that way pm me and ill share a bit for ya
