Bought 2 jaw jackers last year but never got to use them. Looking forward to it this year.

I like the idea however how is the battery life in the cold?

I would be curious to see how the battery charge degrades in -10 and colder while drilling through 2-4 feet of ice.

I will wait to see some reviews and real world examples of the Auger in use.

Thanks for sharing the link though!

Youtube, hundreds of reviews.

I'm pulling the trigger this season especially with the addition of the 10" blade!!

Interesting. Already have several ice anchor bits including home made one for ice climbing anchors.
Looks good though. Be interesting to see one up close.

If you check out their site they list this item as a quick change system for the actual auger flights! That means you can switch out the 8" for the 10" in seconds and all without tools!!!

That would be handy then. Not sure if I would have the need to switch quickly, but will probably put on list to obtain one.

New for this year as well is the addition of a reverse gear to the power head. They claim this eliminates nearly all slush from the hole.

I'll stick w/ my forward only thx.

I think the reverse will be great for those that have a hut. Scooping out watery slush in a hut is a pain.

I think they were $499 at Canadian tire. Not sure what the extension cost? But yeah they will come down in price.
