Salmon fishing derby

Hey guys, I want to pick your brains if you dont mind.

I am thinking of putting on a Salmon fishing derby this spring.
First prize would be a free trip back next year for your entire group of 3.

We would work it 3 to a boat.

What would you like to see? Largest Salmon wins? OR do it on a gross weight type of thing? Say the top 3 Salmon added together from each team?

I am sure we could come up with some other prizes as well.

But how would you guys like to see it done?

I think a combined weight of three would be the way to go.

Rocky. Yes, I was thinking about a 4 day event. Perhaps take a 4 day trip and have the derby on 3 of the days followed by the 4th day hunting for Halis.
