Not much demand for eels here but there are restaurants that have eel on the menu.

I'm assuming you're looking to eat them. Try T&T Supermarkets

Weird
They are terrible parasites that go after all freshwater fish...why would someone want them out here? Why wouldn’t native bait suffice? To the OP, how would you use them?

I tried Lamprey's for trout bait, the skin is really tough and I thought it would stay on the hook for multiple strikes.WRONG....never had a bite or saw another trout.Pretty sure I saw fish crawling out on land to get away from the eel smell.....what a stench!!!

Exactly. They're non-native to Alberta, and would be detraumental to our ecosystem, making them an Invasive Species, as per the definition.

OP, would you please chime in to clarify whether you are planning on eating them or using them for bait in Alberta waterbodies?

The Eels's that are sold through Rob's Bait is frozen.
There fore it is dead, not sure if it would be legal for bait in Alberta.
His Bait is legal as the harvest of Ditch eel's in BC is 'No Open Season'
No, It is not my store, but I do know him personally.
