Default My family dog Sadie has passed

There’s a few of you on here tgst have hunted or fished with her.
My best friend Sadie, has now joined Bessie and the others that look out for my family.
I’ve been trying to make her comfortable for the past 5 nights. It’s been tough, but she’s in a better place now.
Thanks Sweetie. You were a constant companion and protector of my wife and children. We had so many adventures together.

We’ll see each other soon… but not yet. Not yet.

I prolly won’t be posting much more here, as I don’t really have anyone to brag about any more really. I joined this place in 2008 to seek solace from fellow outdoorsmen……..But perhaps, like others have suggested, it’s time to go.

My last brags about my dog:

- Sadie chased off a grizz and several black bears in an effort to protect me and the fam over the years… she was jus too damned fast for them bruins.
- twice she confronted cougars and we found them lurking within 20m of us.. danger averted
- she hunted, flushed, and retrieved two provincial best pheasants for friends. She had a passion for the wild ones.
- she has run the entire Sinister 7 trail race course and loved every minute of it.

- she was my best friend.

I’ll miss you girl.

On a final note… I will always strive to be the person my dog believed me to be. I invite others to join me.

So sorry to hear of your loss.
Been there many times, it is never easy.
From your description & pictures you gave her about the best life a Fur Kid could ever ask for.

You and her are in my thoughts, heart and prayers.

RIP Sadie...

Sadly,
Matt

PS: Please reconsider stocking around. You still have a lot to offer and many would sincerely appreciate you doing so...

So sorry for your loss. They give us countless great days. Days we’ll never forget and one day that we wish would never happen. Take solace in your pictures and memories. Rip Sadie.

Default Great memories

Sorry for your lost, you sure do have some great memories. I have always had dogs but recently adopted a hunting dog last year. Some people will never know the difference these dogs bring to us until you have one. I am not saying that some dogs are better than others but I can say seeing our dogs do the amazing things they are naturally born to do is truly amazing. The relationship is one of a kind.
All the best,

You know how I feel bud... My heart is extraordinarily heavy for you and your entire family. I truly believe that both you and Sadie were incredibly lucky and blessed to have each other, enriching each others lives like no other could, and over time when the pain and grief gives way a bit, you will have only the best memories to cherish forever.

Yep, I've been thinking of you and your family all day bud. I know first hand how hard it is too, when you have to say goodbye to your dog. Nothing anyone can say that is going to make it better, but all the same, really sorry for your loss.

And don't go permanently Bessie....we will need you back when you're ready.

Sorry to hear Bessie. Dogs have a way of stealing our hearts, they are pure of heart, undeceptive, and always happy to see us. They wake up every morning thinking thinking "this will be the best day ever". As people we take a lot of joy watching a happy dog go about their business, they are true optimists. The world needs more optimists.

Get your head clear, mourn your doggo, and come back. You belong here. If it was anyone here suggesting you leave, ignore them.

Who am I going to talk Poison Creek hunting with if you go? Took a decent 5x5 out a there this fall.

That one is going to sting for a long time. No easy way around it. Maybe when you are ready, get another. I have had many in 66 yrs. Never once was I happy to see one leave. I have a new one now. She doesn't replace the ones gone but brings pleasure of her own.
