Default Newell Ice

Was out today and had 22 inches of ice with a ton of water on top. If youre fishing there make sure you have waterproof boots. Fishing was slow with overcast conditions.

Guess I'll leave the socks and sandals at home and pack flip flops and shorts.

always, always bring warm rubber boots to newell. Yak-traks would be useful when it's wet too. FYI three of us caught 7 pike there last weekend. If I found 6-7 feet deep was working well although we had occassioal hits in less than 3 feet of water. I think they might be spawning because I had 3 large fish out of one hole in about 10 minutes.
