What to do with a kid free week?
I am getting to have my first Kid free week! 1st time with more than 24 hours to myself in 7+ years.
Thinking I might try to get some fishing in after work?
What else should I do with free time?

MOM -- a kid free week...........gal you do whatever you want cause this may be the last one you get for a while. Sleep as much as you want. Do the dishes and clean the place up right before he gets home.........no sense in wasting your valuable kid free time cleaning.............trust me ............. follow your nose.......fish after work THAT sounds GREAT.
And relax......just relax....Stinky is having a great time trust me...they always do at that age.

So far?
Cleaned the shed, cleaned the area around the boat, put the batteries in the boat, fixed and sold some grass trimmers, got a snowblower running, fixed the gf's rototiller, sold a bike rack, welded up a gazebo frame for behind my camper-not done yet, huffed some zinc  . Did 2 loads of laundry, had a bbq, sold a boat, investigated what's up with my generator.
FM, you could come here an lend a hand. Or not!

Sleep in. Then go out for brunch, and a nice trip to a spa. Then a nice fancy dinner, a movie you actually want to see, then an early night sleep, followed up with another sleep in.

Yeah the little stinker is stoked about going. Rather upset he has to wait till Sunday to leave.
Will do some fishing and relax. My good friend is away right now so I can't go hang out with her.  But she needed to go home to see her parents and took her kids with.

Fishing sounds like more fun to me.
I do laundry at 5am or 11pm.

Try not to spend too much time worrying and missing him.
Every time we sent the kids off for a week or two with their grandparents... we'd spend half our waking time like the OP wondering what to do with ourselves and wondering what the kids were up to....especially my wife.
Of course the kids were fine...and having a ball but suddenly we were finding ourselves a bit lost and distracted because they weren't there.
The best thing was to get out of the house.
We'd take day trips or short overnighters because the house suddenly felt SO empty it drove us nuts.
