Default The Reason We Cut BIG Holes

I have not had a fish this hard water season yet I am 0-1. But I did have a great day on the water. Congrats Wayne. This guy had a 3/4 oz jig and bait no bigger than my pinky. An old garage sale rod. A 30 year old fly reel... And no leader. I am not sure how he did it but he did I seen it and as much as this pains me I have to show it to all of you.

I posted on my photobucket due to some.. Well some fish 18A fish talk. I hope you like what I did Wayne..

Wow! It's bad enough that Jeff takes so much ribbing about using a pink fishing rod. Now you're saying he has a little tool??? Not nice, Costanza!

Seriously, though...nice job on the vid, Jeff.
Mr. Christie, you catch big fishies!
Well done, guys!

Way to go guys. Nice fish Wayne. I love that rod. What happened to your halibut rod with 150 pound test you were using last winter Wayne?

We'll have to get out sometime this winter again.

Cheers,
Rob

A good fisherman practices every chance he gets, even in mud puddles, and it paid off LOL Thank very much Jeff, great work on the video and soundtrack. What an awesome fight it was. Guess I will leave that horseshoe where it is for the ice season !!! Kingfisher still use my Hawg rod just thought Id demonstrate how to do it on perch gear for Jeff, poor lad gets most of his fishing knowledge from watching other people outfish him!!!

Thats a good gator wayne.

But if that is your perch gear then I am not to sure I can take you out for some jumbos haha.

Oh ya if there is one thing I have learned when fishing for big gators its don't stick your hand down the hole to get them just wait them out until you can get their head up the hole. You will be fighting those bad boys all day if you keep reaching haha.

I can't wait to see a 30+lber this year through the ice.

Nice one Wayne. This has to be the quote of the year. I love that one. I wonder if Jeff read this. Well maybe the Mrs. can read it for him.

Cheers,
Rob
