That 310 is an obvious piece of junk- send it to me and I will replace with a very good Cooey for you.
I'll even pay the shipping both ways just so you are not out a lot of money

Default gopher getter

Browning T-bolt in .22lr
Wasnt sure that I liked it that much at the start, but when you get the hang of cycling the action, you can really pound the rounds out of it. Super accurate as well.

browning lever .22 for the curious ones, Savage BTVS .22lr 4.5-14x for the wise ones.
I was using Winchester .22 power points and paid 9 cents/ round.

For reloading the .223; I use 6 grains Winchester 231 over a small pistol primer; its costing me 11 cents/ round without my boolit cost factored in..... I obtain wheelweights free and use a little pewter for tin.... my labour not included or casting apperatus.

as of right now my gopher setup is a 10/22 with a green mountain barrel for the close shots then a savage 93 for the mid range and then for the far out ones that think they are safe i have my new savage model 12 fcv 223 as well as the trusty tikka 22-250 on the off chance that i heat up the 223.
i have also been known to pack the old model 94 30-30 from time to time.

Savage 93 22mag with the heavy stainless barrel. I've upgraded the stock to a Boyd's applejack laminate stock, gave it a 6-13 Harris bipod and topped it off with a vortex crossfire 6-24x50

10/22 with tactical solutions bullbarrel, and lam thumbhole stock and a 1.5-5 vx3. (probably my favourite setup, although I'd like to put a 3-9 leupold rimfire scope on like my bl22 has)

bl22 with a leupy vx2 3-9x33 efr rimfire scope

ruger 77/22 that I haven't used for years....maybe this year though.

picked up a norinco browning sa22 clone this winter, so looking forward to trying that out on some gophers as well as a 10/22 backpacker.

Default Gopher Getters

We mostly use semi auto 22's. We have 3 Remington 597 for the job.

The most recent is my older sons in a Archangel stock, topped with a Bass Pro red dot sight.

Last year I put this one together for my younger son Its a 597 Aac-Sd that has a threaded end on the barrel. I did a quick Tigger paint job for him and topped it with a Barska reflex sight.

And this is mine a stainless 597 in a Boyds Evolution stock (forest camo), topped with a Nikon BDC 150.

The 597's have treated us well, all have been stripped down, VQ target hammers installed, guide rods polished and installed with the right amount of torque and bolt polished as well.

Mine loves CCI Mini-Mags, the boys do well with the federal bulk ammo which is good because with a couple of 30 shot mags each we can burn through ammo pretty fast.

We also like to get after the gophers with our bows and I have a Weatherby Vanguard heavy barrel in 223 that I would love to find a gopher patch that I can use in.

Been using an old CIL/Anschutz 125 with a 6x24 Bushnell on top mostly. Used a Marlin .22 mag but someone else made me an offer I couldn't refuse, and have a new CZ 455 in .22 Mag and a .22 lr CZ heavy barrel to try out. My son has my .223 Howa, so I now have a CZ 527 .223 for those hard to neak up one gophers. And of course, what is a day in the gopher patch with out the 12 gauge for those family gopher gatherings!
We carry a wide variety of fire power in the Suburban along with tripod rests and shooting benches!

Default Rossi model 62 & Marlin 995 semi.

Got to love a pump 22, but for cleaning house there is nothing wrong with a semi auto. My longest shot with my bow is 40 yards, I was suprised myself... I know, but seriously now hunting gophers is a blast.

I've got one of the first 597's that came out in a heavy barrel and a laminate stock.

I just picked up a CZ 527 American in 22 Hornet. I can not wait to give it a serious workout. My first ever CZ and I am excited about it.
