Default Pike!

Hi, there!
Want to share with you guys, lil video of my next adventure, looking for some non-stop bites. Was pretty awesome time, caught lots of fish, size is pretty sport, but action is something.

Please enjoy!

Yeah, I was planning to stay in the evening and try luck for burbot at that lake. Never tried yet.

Yeah, man, it was pretty nice driving on the lake in little sedan
You won't see often type of car like that on the ice. But it worked well, just gotta have winter tires and a little bit of inspiration.

Chips always good for the small pike. Due to the lack of seize regulation I think they rarely get a chance to get big. Funny and kind of sad to watch people keeping their limit of 14 inch pike.

No, chip is basically a muskeg, the pike are stunted, if they would have the regular 63 cm size limit you might fish every day for a week to get a big enough one.

I think so too, they just can't grow big enough over there, but not because people keeping small species all the time. That lake if full of pike, seems like they still reproduce well.

Lightbulb Chip Lake

Anyway. I've been curious, what that pike eats in chip lake lake?
Except itself and burbot, perhaps.
Did anyone catch some perch or any other species over there?
Also, how's the fishing there on open water? Cause, I only discovered this lake about a month ago. Looks like weeds are all over it in summer time.

Thank you.
