Default Eagle fish elite 642c igps issue please help

Hi folks,

I'm having issues with my fish finder, im unable to access the main menu. It's supposed to be as simple as pushing the main menu button twice but it doesn't seem to work.

Anyone had similar issues?

Anyway to reset the fish finder?

Thanks in advance

Brad

Have you downloaded recent software? The latest update is 1.6.0.
If you have the latest software, try a soft reset first. With the soft reset you shouldnt lose any waypoints. If that doesnt work try a hard reset(hope you saved waypoints to a card), because you will lose them with hard reset. If you can somehow get into menu?? you can restore settings but that doesnt sound possible. What about shut off and restart? More to follow if needed.

Soft reset you need to get into menus. Do you have an SD card in the unit, if so remove it and start your unit see if that makes a difference. If it does try a soft reset.

Press menu,menu
to system setup
enter
to reset options
enter
press yes,enter.

If none of that works you will likely have to try a hard reset.

ps what are you using for gps? Navionics or Lowrance base or Canada 6.3?
Or other?
