There are spools of 130 pound braided line at bass pro according to their website.
However, its not a 500 yard spool.

They put that stuff on the high shelves so us mere mortals can't reach it. I'm up to the 14# PowerPro.

Lol

I think I am a rare guy who gas not switched to braid on my lighter spinning rods. I put 65 lb braid on my Penn Battle II 8000 reel. Worked awesome chucking big lures.

I now have a level wind for halibut. Just wondering should I use 80 lb (750 yards) or 100 lb (670 yards) braid? It will be the same set up I will be using for salmon shark.

Also planning on dropping to 500+ feet just for fun.

Found some Kastking for sale. Pricey stuff for the size and yardage. Never used it. 8 strand sounds good. Anyone know their brands?

You might want to browse some salt water forums to try and probe for some advise. I forget what # I put on my level wind halibut rod, I know it was power pro from wholesale. It worked great, granted I've only used it once so far and the biggest halibut was only about 50" or so.
