We had a test set for the shop, either they flew great for shooters or planed badly..pending on tune of bow...I also shoot G5 ...but The Strikers and they flew so well I didnt want to change either..

For those that hunted with them, said they were devestating on animals...leaving a trail a blind man could follow...blades held up well...only one had a broken blade but did the job outstanding.

Big thing was tuning or shooting them the Toxics hate any kind of target and eat them up on contact leaving holes you could see daylight thru some shots...

No complaints from those shooting them other than devestated targets...I think the big thing thus far is taking the comitment to hunt with them...

I have heard the penetration is not the best, they usually enter but rarely exit or punch through, by design they core more than they cut.

I could agree with this, buddy shot a small doe with them this year, at like 15 yards Looked liked a "Chuck Norris flaming punch" right through. I couldn't believe the size of the hole it left (entrance and exit).. But on a larger animal I have a feeling it wouldn't work.. too much pushing force, not enough slicing through... if that makes sense..

It's such a cool idea wonder how they could improve it for better penetration ..

also heard deflection isn't the best . People did a test hitting a chunk of plywood on a angle the toxic hit the wood leaving a small chunk missing changed direction to hit the back drop . Montec G5 punched through the plywood. Not to sure how that would compare with shooting a deer on a hard angle lol we all know they are not made of wood .
Good little YouTube though .

So what's better a cored hole in a deer or elk with no exit or a slice through the deer or elk with a exit ?

On a marginal hit, a pass through leaving a blood trail has to trump a cored hole in the wrong place with less of a blood trail.

I'll pick the better penetrating broadlead, especially if I am shooting a lower poundage bow on large animals.

Norm

Shot an elk last year, did not pass through the other side, but on a lighter note, shot from 40yds and he only made it 40yds.
Flew well from my set-up.
Switched to VPA three blade nonvented, bomb proof.

I would look have a look at PX2 broad heads. I have personally seen them blow through caribou at 50yards.
