May be off topic somewhat, but if you want walleye near the city, lake Wabamun is pretty decent. My son and I went 2 Sundays ago and we caught 50 in 2 hours. One was a healthy 25 inches.

You betcha. I was at Wab a couple weeks ago and couldn't keep them off. Anywhere we went you could drop a jig down and within a few moments you would feel a tap.

I found that one of those reef-runner Cicada's worked well. The amount of vibration those lures put out is absolutely amazing. When the walleye bite is on you can get a bite on every jig with one of those Cicada's I'm not even kidding!
