Default Not the best

Not the best time of the year to put stands up. I would wait for a windy day or rain day if I was you. That will cover the noise. You got pics during daylight, that means hes really not far away, and it doesnt take much for a buck like that to get spooked.

First, nocturnal is a myth.

Second, pattern him better and choose wisely on where to place your stand.

Third, if you pattern him properly, stab in something when ever you can, more of a wives tale about disturbing the area unless your an idiot

Forth, let the wind out of him and capture some field pics and be proud you done your home work and opportunity was presented.

Best of luck.

You indicate this is a NEW spot, so I am assuming you have not patterned this deer properly.. Just my opinion but doing your home work is the most vital ingredient to success in the stand with stick and string especially.

Scraps are going hard now, but in two weeks they will change again.. If your on the "line" in this new spot, yup throw it all together...

Incredible edible.

Be willing to sit in the stand between 9 am and 1 pm if this location is a travel corridor. I find the quite a few big deer move between these times. I think it is because there is more human activity at dawn and dusk in these central wmu's. Alot of times they will move from morning beds to afternoon beds or water mid day.

Don't get that buck fever. hehe

May your broadhead fly true.

Still learning the property. The big guy goes past my one stand late at night now.. but oasses through again new area... late after noon or just before last light... and alsobsome days just last light... then shows later by other stand 500 yards away.

But shows up either just too early.. or just between 750am-1030am.

Bugger is teasing me
