My best was

-2 pheasants
-1 Whitetail
-1 Mule deer

I did all this with just 5 shots... I just never missed that year.

I'd say 2009 was my personal best season. In early september, I shot a 5x5 bull elk with my bow, then mid-september I shot a 217" gross nontypical muley with my bow. In november is shot a 143" gross typical whitetail with my bow on my strathcona tag. Then I shot a nice 4x4 whitetail buck with my rifle on my general tag. Then i was drawn for camp wainright and shot a 5x4 whitetail with my rifle. Was a great season and some great memories!

2012 was my best yet. I posted pics in another thread - http://www.outdoorsmenforum.ca/showthread.php?t=157693

I dont think I will be able to top this years accomplishments. I shot my first bighorn Ram, a decent moose and my best WTD yet! To me, everything after the Ram was just bonus round HA

For me, I would say that 2012 has been a good year for Big Game for me...I shot my first moose ever and a pretty good mule deer too...My dad as well shot a great mulie and being we're on draw here, I'm glad I was there too as it may as well be his last chance at getting one...I have posted pictures of this year's success on a couple of previous threads...
Bird season was so so this year...they just weren't here...last year was tremendous...on the upside of not getting out much this year..I have a couple of cases of shells for next year

Hand down 2011 was my best ever.

Started off on September 17th by taking a bull elk at 10 yards with my 45-70 after almost a month chasing them with the bow.

Then down south in early october for a non-trophy pronghorn draw. One shot out of the .270

Then knocked over a 42" bull moose on November 5th. two shots out of the .270

Then a 160" Whitetail on November 12th. One shot out of the .270

Five rounds spent total. Not bad.

Spent the rest of the season helping my dad and some buddies fill their tags.

It was a lot of meat down that season but its my best due the crazy amount of time i got to spend in the field and the sheer area of the province i covered on these hunts....did everything from bald prairie to dense northern bush. Thats a season I wont be able to top for a long time im sure.

Last year was a Booner mountain goat, and a pope & young cougar, a respectable mule deer and white tail.
This year started off with gold medal black wildebeest ,blesbok and waterbuck. and a impala and zebra shot with bow while stalking. Also a silver medal kudu with rifle. Finished africa with the wife getting her zebra stalion with a rifle.
Over the summer I got 4 badgers with the bow. Fall started with a miss on a book mule deer and a book elk followed by a 47 1/2" moose an a 135ish white tail with the bow. Then the wife dropped her moose with her 7mm-08.
The icing on the cake will be taking my dad on a cat hunt in Dec. He was in very rough shape last fall and I'd told him if he lived I'd take him to get a cat. Never thought I'd be spending the money on it and couldn't be happier to spend it.

My best season was last year. Not much by AO standards, but two deer and an elk pleased me.

By far, my best hunting season was in 1991 at the Gilchrist Hunting Camp on Manitoulin Island, Ontario. The deer season was only a week long but what a time we had. There were 11 of us staying in an old settler's cabin and everyone except for two of us played the guitar. We hunted hard during the day but we played hard in the evenings. After 6 days we had 9 deer hanging......two 10 point bucks, two 8 point bucks, three smaller bucks and two big does. The hanging pole was full and a great time was had by all!

2010 would be my best season. 6 Great Animals on some world class adventures!

- Started with a trip to the NWT and shot a Great Dall Ram (First Ram) and a 404 plus change Mountain Caribou
- Came back to Alberta to shoot a 75 inch Antelope with my bow
- Shot a 161 gross typical whitetail with my rifle (missed this deer with my bow in September, put my 30 yard pin on him when he was at my 40 marker... excitement/buck fever got the best of me)
- Shot my first wolf, a beautiful 100+ pound grey
- Shot a 199 7/8 Muley that I had been chasing for a few years. Had him at 50 yards or less 3 times the season prior where he would have grossed 210 or so but never had an opportunity at a shot
- Shot a 159 gross whitetail in Camp Wainwright

Most big game animals killed in one year for me was 2000, with a 185lb cougar, a 9-1/2 year old bighorn,a 6x7 bull elk, a 54" moose, and a pronghorn.

i may have to change my answer to 2013. trophies are stacking up pretty good around here. all bowkills so far....hopefully the best is yet to come....

had a cougar at a hundred yards last week in an open zone....but i was holding a rooster in one hand and my 12 guage in the other. a pair of mega whitetails and a honker elk for robin will seal it though .....

Best season in my mind was 1995. That was the last hunting season my dad was alive. It was best because my 4 year old son tagged along most of the time and he remembers the time spent with Grandpa.
This year and last have been pretty good as well. My son is my hunting partner, I was with him when he took his first Elk last year, and with him when he took his first Moose this year. I cherish the memories we're making, every hunt is a success because I'm with my family.

Leo,

I'm going to have to say this year because I was able to put more time in setting up my trail cams and scouting the area I hunted. I also made friends with a land owner who took the time to teach me new things, he was more than willing to share what ever knowledge he had. Even if I hadn't shot a deer this year, its one filled with great memories. The fact that I got a nice buck doesn't hurt either. Hopefully this year I will get to take a few first time hunters out as well.

This year is shaping up to be pretty good and with a couple tags left may be the best... I've been in on 3 successful bull elk hunts. Shot a good brown phase black bear and a nice grey wolf. Got an antelope with my daughter and filled my bull moose tag this morning. With any luck a 160+ whitey will call in the next couple weeks and a cougar in the New Year. That would put this year over the top.

My best year is every year!!! Just being out in the woods with good friends is more than enough for me. Each year brings with it something special. From my son's first deer to my daughters first buck.
