I got my limit of 2 pheasants opening morning, as well. Good to see decent numbers of birds around.

Allright guys. Some great pics. Those birds are beautifull, and I bet they taste great.

You guys will have to show me your spots!
Just back from our yearly trip around Patricia and found the overall numbers to be low like last year. Nowhere near 15-7 years ago. Got our limit first day then we had to really work hard for the next couple of days. I am going to need another dog, this guy who is in great shape was played out on day three of ten hour days. Always a great time and sure wished I lived around there. Great experience for the young dogs.

I went out this week same general area and found pheasant numbers to be very low. Sharpie numbers ok. Seemed there was a small spike in populations a few years ago but being going downhill since. Hoping for a mild winter or two.

Might have to go to the dark side and visit a pheasant release site this week... My dog was not impressed either.

I am looking for some info about a Griffon from someone who actually hunts with one. Can you PM me about where you got your dog and you like hunting with it?

Looking forward to getting out in a couple weeks. My pup was just neutered today so he's out for a couple weeks. Hopefully he's good to go once the releases start happening.

Getting close now, hoping to get out to Wainwright for a day or two of sharptails, then some Hungarian Partridges, then its ten weeks of pheasants. The pup is going to get a lot of on the job training this fall.
