Hansen's pond
Take highway 11 west (approx 40km), and then 766 south (approx 3km) and it's on you're right

OMG. I never knew there were trout in Sylvan Lake. Where are some good spots and what should I try for lures?

Benalto trout pond.... maybe 50 km west of Red Deer, 200 yards north of HWy 11. It seems to me that it is at the benalto intersection. I remember a trout pond at Heritage Ranch from my child hood, not sure of it's condition these days. Bower ponds was stocked with trout in the past and some monster pike got in there a few years ago.

For what it is worth, once the river drops and clears up a bit, Goldeye are a ton of fun for both young and old. They seem to hang out near the surface and they will bite pretty much anything. I've eaten smoked Goldeye, it was good.
