Hoping to go tomorrow. Is there any word on the ice or no ice

i plan to fish it from shore on Sunday or monday. From the looks of the online webcam, it looks like its still completely ice covered. But i figure this rain will help and at least open up enough water for casting from shore in the next few days. Any thoughts on this?

I'll go for a drive tomorrow. I'll let u know. From what I can see the web cam photo is showing still a white cover...tons of ice

guy i know was ice fishing spray last weekend... it still had like 2 feet of ice on it... so im assuming minnewanka will be the same.

That's scary. The ice might not be off of those lakes till July at this rate!

does anyone know if theres any area near the dam where open water occurs earlier than the rest of the lake? kind of like the upper and lower kananaskis lakes near the dam. ANY INPUT APPRECIATED.

Just came back from the lake. There is NO chance the this lake will be open before mid June. Even with tons of rain and sun I doubt it...sorry guys
The area at the dam has some open wet spots, so there is hope
