I like the aluminum directors chairs with the fold out tray on the side. Campers Village and Cabela's usually have a good variety. The lower ones seem to be less "tipsy"!

I've been looking for over a year.
It's tougher than I ever thought to upgrade.
A friend of mine has one with a flip up foot rest.
It's super comfy but can't be found anywhere any more.

So I'm still searching for that perfect comfortable chair.

I like the zero gravity chairs. Very comfy. Downside is heavy and awkward to carry.

Something like this. They usually go on sale in the spring for around $50 http://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/sl...-0881521p.html

Other than that I have a woods camp chair and it is large enough for me and I am on the big side.

That's not the flip chair I meant.
The one I was describing has a separate foot rest flip up.
Never seen one like it before.
Wish I had a pic of it.

We have gone through a bunch.
Those cheap foldup ones suck.
http://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/ro...l#.UzmjbvldW9U

They MIGHT last a season.

http://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/ou...l#.UzmjQ_ldW9U

We picked these up last year, and they are awesome, super comfy, don't take up alot of room.

We also have the Zero Gravity chairs. And even though they are the best for comfort, they are a pain in the ass. Mine are material, so I can not get them wet, or it takes a while to dry, and I'm to paranoid to bring them close to the fire. So ultimately they don't get used.

I've used the directors
http://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/ou...l#.UzmkCPldW9U

And didn't like them. I found them to upright. And they were a pain if the ground was uneven.

Oh.. biggest lesson, don't get white or colors that show dirt.

I agree, these are the best camping chairs. Very comfortable and have a table wherever you sit!

I've got a couple of the directors chairs with the flip up table. I love them. Had them at least 5 years, I weigh 280 and they have taken a lot of abuse. I strap one on my Otter sled and take it ice fishing. You can pop the drink holder out and use the hole for a rod holder too. I got them at Princess Auto

We have "portal" camping chairs bought them at Peavy mart, and I see Bass pro has them as well. they are light and comfy.

We had the zero gravity chairs they are heavy and can be clumsy.
I hate chairs where the back is straight up.

We have the zero gravity chairs from Canadian tire and they are well used. They are on year three now and no issues. But you have to buy the heavier chair, which regular price was around 100 bucks. And no contest about the comfort, as they have a foot rest for lounging and are fantastic for a post lunch nap.

If you are a chair killer like myself then bass pro has a BIG MAN series that are rated for 400lbs or so. A bit pricey but tough as can be.

My wife and looked around forever before we found some, I bought mine at campers village, and she got hers at WSS. Had them for 3 years now and still going strong. Below are close to what we have but not exact.

We bought a bunch of outbound single chairs when Wholesale had them on sale. By far the best we've ever had.

Quite a resurrection on this thread!

I'll bite, my recommendation ALPS Mountaineering King Kong (800 lb weight capacity!)

Helinox Chair Zero (only 500 grams!)

Like both and recommend both for obviously different purposes.

That's the one I use. Only problem is getting out of it, only cause it is SOOOO comfortable. Worth every penny and well built.

I also have one of these, they are built like a tank and you can sit sideways in them throwing your legs over one side.

Suspicious thread resurrection but..... My wife bought some of these Lazy Bear chairs from Campers Village this year. Sturdy, comfortable and warm in the evenings as the seat is enclosed.
