I shoot left hand

Left eye dominate

Play goalie left handed... catch right hand... stick left hand.

Scissors (no running) left hand.

Who has time for golf with all the shooting and fishing (fly-fish left hand) to do?

Golf, Hockey, Bat.......Right

Rifle, Bow, write, shoot Pool........Left

It would be intersting to know how many people are like sheep, who are actually left eye dominant, but for one reason or another dont shoot that way.

Maybe if we can convince them to change to the LH lifestyle, Manufacturers would see the increase in demand for LH Rifles & we portsiders may have a larger selection of Rifles to choose from

So come on Dick......lets get a "learn to shoot Lefthanded School" going, do it for all of us!!!!!

For whatever reason, I just can't make a rifle work on my left shoulder. I shot competively when I was in my early teens and my coach did everything short of breaking my right arm to get me shooting left handed but there was no way I could do it. I routinely shot 100 8-10x off my right shoulder from the prone position but was lucky to break 80 off my left shoulder. He finally gave in and let me shoot backazzward.

Shoot, catch, write with my left, everything else (throwing, hockey, golf etc.) with my right.

And people always wonder why I walk around looking so confused...

It's funny the habits you get into. I'm right handed and my left is pretty much useless for anything. When I was a kid and started playing hockey the only stick available to me was a left handed one with a wicked curve and I did good with it because i had never used a right one so it kinda came naturally. Same as when I played my first round of golf, a left handed friend let me use his clubs, later on tried right ones but couldn't do do any better with right handed ones, dosen't matter can't golf worth a crap anyway and not much better at hockey but at least I can/could (been years) play it ambidexterously. learned to shoot right handed and tried shooting left, absolutely useless, but good for a laugh. Right eye dominant.

I am left handed/left eye dominant.
I use to shoot guns right handed- got involved in trap at a young age and the instructor got me to switch to shooting left handed. My shooting improved
I did shoot a bow back then, but never did switch over. Still shoot a right handed bow. I can catch a ball better with my right hand than my left hand, but no hope in hell to throw a ball more than 20 feet with left hand?
Very messed up but I seem to get by......

As noted by Dick both my son and I shoot left ....but are right handed. My daughter is right handed and shoots right handed. I have never owned a left bolt, I started with single shots and still use them for 90% of my rifle hunting. Except for the safety button most singles are ambidextrous. My target and range rifles are all right bolt. I learned to shoot a bow left handed in order to use sight pins but it's definetely a one shot operation
I really do have to agree with dick, being left handed has kept some kinda control on my G.A.S.....but there are very nice single shots still calling my name.

I do most things right handed... writing, batting, shooting, golf, tennis. But for some strange reason I shoot left in hockey and lacrosse. No idea why.

When my son started hockey as a tyke, I agonized over which way to teach him to shoot, until someone (a coach or a sport shop guy, can't recall) said "Just watch him pick up and hold a stick. Whatever way he does it, that's it". Seemed to work out. LOL. He is right handed and does almost everything as a rightie, but shoot left, exactly like me.

I'm in the lefty club. I taught my son to shoot right handed so he doesn't have such a hard time finding guns to buy. I write left but shoot right in hockey and golf. Wierd combination. My boss writes with right hand but golfs left.

Yup you will beat me.
I golf on average 1 game a year, just to remind myself, to stick to shooting.
I actually really dislike golf, I feel golf courses are a terrible waste of good land a guy could use for shooting on.

Looks like my older son is similarly afflicted.
Same as my boy. Learning left to start and he is having no problems.

That's what makes us southpaws -Special - count me in and damn proud of it...
Do you notice , how those who do only one or two things left just jump right up and want to join the club...are we in need of additional members for our exclusive group ??? lol

Really odd combo!...

golf, hockey: Left:
shooting, bow or rifle or gun: Right

Eye dominace switches as i get tired (no dominant eye)

I write with right hand
Throw with either hand
(can only catch with left hand--right handed)
Eat or Drink with either hand
bat with either hand!.... but if i bat right I can place the ball easily but less power, If I bat left it is out of park but don't know what fence!...

left or right footed in soccer!...

So I am mostly ambidextrous.

Big Buff, what do you use for buffalo and other dangerous game? I have often wondered what I would use for a dangerous game rifle other than a double if I was backwards.

I used a .458 Winchester on my buffalo.

Lefty here as well.
Right-eye dominant.
Is it possible to train your left eye to be dominant?

I am left eye dominant so shoot my rifles off my left shoulder, but shoot my bow, hockey and everything else right handed. I have done alot of practising shooting the rifle off the right shoulder but I always end up back up on my left.
