Default Gull Lake Pike

Just thought I'd throw this picture up. Caught this pike on Monday. 36", 14lbs. Had a great day on the lake! Anyone else catching nice fish out of gull? Also, any advice on catching whitefish in Gull during summer months? Saw them jumping all over the lake.

Happy fishing all!

Nice Gator,

I have had some good luck on Gull so far this season.

For whites I use an Orange or Red WireWorm under a slip float.
Finding the depth they are at can be tricky but once you do it's on!

Jryley,
it showed 14 on my scale. maybe the scale was off, but that thing was for sure heavier than 6lbs. Even the F&W guy that checked me said it had to be at least 12.

Maybe the 2 big old perch in its gut made her feel heavier. Couldn't believe that a fish this size could swallow 2 perch of that size. No worries bud, at the end of the day, was a great day out on the lake.

Cheers!

I have taken many pictures of many 12-14 lb pike and picture angle and the way you are holding it makes a huge difference in the way it looks ..... keep that in mind.

TrophyPikeHunter caught a 12lb recently and looking back at the pic it looked like a 5lber.

Camera work is everything.
