Default Cold Lake pics

I went out to Cold Lake on Saturday morning and pulled out some nice lake trout. I thought I would share some pictures.

Here's my wife with a monster she caught. She had to throw it back because my father caught a keeper about 5 minutes before her and kept it. Unfortunately she caught the biggest one of the day. Ohh well, someone else can catch it.

It was a great day of fishing. Our grouped reached our limit just after noon.

tyee33, where's a good place for perch? I've tried quite a few times when the lakers weren't biting and couldn't find them. I talked to a couple locals that said "good luck!" and said they were impossible to find during the winter. True?

Fake? Photoshopped? Wow that's funny. Nothing fake about them. Point and click. I guess I'll take that as a compliment.

As for the gentlemen who asked how the fishing was, it was generally pretty good this year. I wasn't catching a whole heck of a lot but my fishing partners were doing quite well on Saturday. It's definitely not fished out. That big one my wife caught is still out there.

just have to wait for the perch to come in close to shore and they are in now, location.... try French Bay, perch are always caught around this time every winter in Cold Lake, has never been a secret

We drove our trucks and Suv's on the lake. There is plenty of ice.

Beauties. Yes the first pic looks unusual but the second pic not so much. If I've learned anything, this forum is tough and you post something, you're gonna get some flack.

IMO the first fish I assume you kept and it may be frozen by the time you took the picture. The second photo looks more authentic because the belly is heaving but that one you released.

Good job. Take it as a compliment if you can take pictures that depict such an awesome catch.

Jeromeo doesn't look that fat in the picture...could be the 10lbs the camera added...or the heavy winter clothing??

Well I'll add more pics just for the people who think these are photoshopped. By the way, this is me in the pictures. I was holding front of the fish through the gills so that's probably why it looks odd to the skeptics. I have a side profile picture to show you just how I was holding it.

Sorry, I really do apologize if I'm wrong. I'm not trying to jump down anyone's back, just something doesn't seem right. Very hard edges on the fish, it's a stiff as a board, and the hands on both pictures look exactly alike to me. And in the pic with the gal, there looks like a white edge around the fish. Maybe its the camera over sharpening the photos. Who knows. Not jealous at all either, they are gorgeous fish. My personal fav kind of fish.

Yup they are photoshopped for sure!!! At least that is what you should all believe so the rest of those big fish are left for Jeromeo and myself.

Hey Jeromeo, good job, I know it takes a lot of patience to catch these but if you are in the right spot with the right gear the fish are there. And good job with the camera as well!!!
