Ya, they are even more impressive up close. About 800 meters from where I shot him, I have a camera at a spring that I have monitored for about 5 years now. This bull always cruised by in early season. This year he showed up on the 4th of September, and when I went to check the card on the camera on the 7th of September I found a 40" or so bull moose that had been killed a few days prior. I think those 2 bulls got in a fight and the smaller one ended up dead. I had a picture, but can't find it. When I looked on the card it seems like the smaller bull had spent a good part of the summer there. Nature is brutal.
