Default First antelope after 12 year draw.

Pretty elated with this buck. Out of all the antelope bucks I seen, none had the mass he does. Happy to kill my target buck I scouted prior and to the land owners for granting permission on such dry basis. Can't wait to chase one with my bow in a couple years. I had my father and buddy join me, thanks for the pictures and filming.

Nice goat, congrats. We are lucky to have pronghorn in this province, they are interesting animals and make for a very cool hunt.

Congrats, that's awesome you had your dad and friend there too. I am sitting on some serious points waiting for my son to catch up. Been applying him since he was 12 so we can hunt them together at least once. Hopefully I won't be too old and he can take me for the second go.

Thanks everyone. Tickled pink with him. Can't wait to have a pedestal shoulder mount of him. He was in a herd of 30ish with 3 other really nice bucks. Sat on them opening morning for roughly 3.5 hours. Had a really good look at all the bucks and just watched them in their environment and let them do their thing. They sure are a beautiful animals and their mannerisms are neat
. We had Spotted them around 9am and then observed them until just before 12:30pm when I pulled the trigger at 362yards. I used a .243 with 95 grain SST. One and done and dropped like a sack of potatoes.

His mass is even better in person. He's gotta be almost 7" all the way up. Short cutters but they are hidden in the mass. I have no idea what he will score, but doesn't really matter as it was for the experience. Too bad I tagged out opening day but wasn't passing that oppertunity up to hunt the full 5 days.

When using the B&C system for antelope, if the 3rd circumference lands in the swelling of the prong, the measurement is moved to directly above the prong. If the second measurement lands in the prong, then its moved below the start of the prong. Course, if the 3rd one didnt land anywhere or interfere with the swelling of the prong, then you'd get extremely lucky. Pretty rare from what I've seen though.

Yup and a crazy rule with P&Y you MUST have two below the prong and 2 above the prong… so a goat scored P&Y could technically be scored less than the same goat scored B&C.

Default Great goat

78-80" goat...hard to tell about the 3rd measurement on yours because it doesnt really have much of a prong swell because its got 3.5" ish prongs...regardless of the 3rd measurment its got heavy mass above the prongs and appears to be about 14.5" tall.

This is what I got. I read the sub rule 3 or 4 on the BC and it makes his 3rd mass measurement below the cutter and only one up top. I came up with 77.5" B&C, but will have someone verify it for real when it's past 60days. He was only just over 13" long divide by 4 and I get 3.312" for each of his measurement points. Too bad his tips where broken off or he would be squeaking the 80".

Scouting pays off and I'm happy to admit that I got my target buck when another 150 tags were issued amongst the 3 zones.

You have take your 1/4 measurements off the longer horn and by the looks of your longest horn is 13 7/8, so your second 1/4 is at 3 15/32, third 1/4 is at 6 15/16, fourth 1/4 is at 10 13/32.

Ya I just read it about the longest horn. Thought it was per horn. I'll have to see if it changes much. Can't see it tho. Both horns where 13 2/8". I'll get a official person to score. Thanks for the insight. They are sure tricky to score.
