Default How bad is a soaked fish finder???

Just started getting my boar ready for waterton tomorrow, and I noticed moisture in my fishfinder display, I dismounted it (have never done that) and cracked it open.... and about 1/2 a glass of water came out, I guess the rubber seal was no good.

anyway, i've taken unscrewed the circuit boards and dabbed them dry. I'm letting it sit for the night.... what are my chances if I plug it in tomorrow AM?

Is it done for?

any advice?

Well, I have had that twice only once was my own fault. The one time was a similar situation you have described and I let er dry overnight and got lucky. Still worked. The second time was my fault {long story} and I was using it at the time, turned it back on and poof! After the second time I became concerned about the watertightness of the brand since both were the same and switched brands, never looked back. Hope everything works out for you, good luck and keep us posted on Waterton................

Make sure it's absolutely dry before you turn it on and you've got a chance. If there's any moisture leftover when you power it up there's a good chance it may go poof
