Default Beautiful October fishing day

Happy to have gotten out for maybe the last fly fishing trip of the season.

Default If it is the last trip...

It looks like a very good one. Thx for the great pics. I see you are using a nymph, a bead head too. Were they right on the bottom, with the low water and all.

Did my last float on a pothole lake near St. Abert. Zero landed, several hits. Talking to other fisherman during this season it seems the nearby potholes did not produce many fish. Next year might have try abite further away.

Default lets reduce limits

8 inch trout in buckets harvested daily repeat = fished out quick, reduce limits might be an idea

I can echo that. This season was really slow on the potholes. Maybe stock 2 different species and make it catch and release for the one and allow harvest on the other. The carp and perch added to the lakes probably is not helping either.

Thanks everyone.

Nothing is more fulfilling outdoors for me than sitting in a tube, casting a fly, watching natures all around just doing their thing.

Hanging with friends also enjoying the experiences.
