Head out to muir lake. Nice rainbows and easy to row around the lake. Just make sure you read the regulations before fishing there.

The NSR is a great fishery. Other that that, there is coal, close to you. If you dont mind the drive there is jackfish, spring, chicacoo. Your best bet would be to pick up a "Barry Michles" guide. It has a listing of most fishable waters. And well worth the ten bucks. Good luck this season.

I would not recommend hitting the NSR in a row boat.
You might end up in fort Saskatchewan.

Start in Devon, end up in Edmonton. A good time in a canoe, so why not a row boat. It makes me feel a little under gunned when I see those guys from the Edmonton rowing club rip by, and my little boat has trouble beating the current.

I don't think there is a public launch at hermitage.
At least not the last time I was down there.
Nearest to that is 50th street launch.

If I had alittle row boat I would go to Half moon lake just north of Bonacord for pike and perch.
For trout I would go to Sardine lake its just one hr west of leduc.
They don't allow boats at Hermatage
