I too love the prince with black and purple ribbing. Have not seen them made with alternating colours. How is that done, if you don't mind sharing?

Thanks, hope my patterns help give others some ideas
That gomphus was specifically tied for a lake called Dragon Lake back home but worked in many places. Fish in Dragon would hammer this fly like a sack of hammers and swim for the hills lol

Let me know when you head to Dragon next, when I have a chance ill tie you up some of my patterns I use only in that lake. Free of charge
I used to live 3 blocks away and fished that lake 3-4 days a week lol
Sure wish I could move back to that area, maybe once im done trades schooling Ill be able to find something in that area. The stillwater fishing is what I miss the most

Numbers of scuds I saw there were mindboggling. Nice fish as well. No shortage of good fishable water in that area.

Holy smoke, that's very generous of you. Thank you, I'll be taking you up on that.
Fished Dragon late last summer, it was still in the summer doldrums but we caught a few decent fish. My son's wife grew up in Quesnel, they just moved back about a yr ago.
Once again thanks

I guess it would be referred to as a Royal Stimulator
tie in smaller sizes for trout, grayling, goldeye, etc
Big sizes for big bulls and bigger trout, steelhead etc
