Redeer river open water

[Clueless]

Wondering if there is open water on the Redeer river yet, anywhere from Tolman bridge down to East Coulie.
Have my nephew down for a few days and he really wants to try the new rod he got for his birthday🎣.
If that's not feasible anything else that is open and in season in the area would suffice.

Crossed it on Hwy 2 about two hours ago and there was lots of open water there.

Thanks that area is already closed for the season though.
Drove to the Tolman bridge, it was mostly frozen over with a narrow Chanel along the West Bank, but it wasn't deep enough to fish in.
