Phil Soucy, Montana 100%. He comes up once a year to deliver completed cats and pick up new ones.

they don't call him the catman for nothing!

Phil Soucy is the best in the world, without doubt.

Curtis at silver willow did mine. I would also look at Darren at Solitude. They both have cougar pics on their Facebook pages.

Default Best of the best

The right answers have already been covered, but another vote:
- Phil Soucey; best in the world
- Sugar Creek; best in Alberta, and maybe all of Canada

Did a lot of research before I took my own cat anywhere. Sugar Creek, especially this close to home, was the obvious answer. Fantastic work.

I would visit taxidermy shops and look at pictures of their work. With any luck may even have a mount two in you can look at. Decide what looks good to you.
Going off some of the suggestions already mentioned, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

A friend of mine in Cranbrook got this 190 lber a few years ago. I'll have to ask him if Phil Soucy did the mount for him? He said that the largest mannequin was still too small and had to be built up. I know nothing about taxidermy.

Cats, wolves and bear mounts are tough. I don't know if I have ever seen a taxidermized cat that I would been completely happy with as the ears never look right. I suggest that if you aren't going to spend for the best work available, save your money and don't get it done at all.
