We've got a least a dozen liquor stores and about as many pot shops in Canmore, a town of 14.000. The more the merrier, competition is a good thing and there is always a sale on somewhere. Ten bucks off a 40 of Crown, works for me.

Along the same line
A beer store in Lloyd that has been in operation since the 80's applied for a permit to add on more storage space to the back of the existing building, the permit was denied because there is a school less than two blocks away (12 years and under)

What is the risk? I can't wrap my head around this Liberal concept do they think kids are hanging around the store or people are drinking out front?

BTW Lloyd has 44 beer stores in operation.

In the old days it took 2 beers by the time you got everything you need Friday after work.
Gas and cigs at one place,
Drive to the next place for mix,
Then hit the alcb before it closed at 6.

Now……. Start pumping fuel, run in get everything, come out, put nozzle back and go.
Win.
