Let’s go team CANADA!
What do people think of player selection going forward?
Is Powers going to play even better after a year?
Who else will shine?
Who will be the top four teams this year?

Powers is a stud. Team Canada will be deep this year.
Love the world Juniors. Great hockey.

We purchased two lower bowl seats ($100 per seat) with the 8 game B package two years ago and got our game allocation a few weeks ago and I am a little disappointed. We have two Canada games in the prelim round ( Austria and Germany) 3 non Canada prelim games, 1st quarter final ( might get the Canada game) 1st semifinal ( Canada will likely be in the 2nd semi for TV reasons) and the Gold medal game.
I do understand it was most likely a lottery allocation process with hundreds of orders to fill. Should be a great tournament, Canada looks strong and we get to sit in the lower bowl for less than a king's ransom (the upper bowl was terribly engineered for anyone over 6 ft tall).

Edmonton. The A pool will play out of Edm and the B pool is in Red Deer and then semi's and final in Edm.
Canada in Group A with Austria, the Czech Republic, Finland and Germany in Edmonton, while Group B is comprised of Russia, Switzerland, Slovakia, Sweden and the United States in Red Deer.

So will Finland. Sweden. Russia and Czech knock out the US this year?

I sure hope they are doing the bubble thing like last year. Otherwise I fear they may end up with problems.
Fingers crossed. Will be a very sad day if we can’t watch these kids play some great hockey.

Man I sure hope the omicron variant doesn't hit the teams at the world juniors like it seems to hitting the NHL, that would kill that tournament in a hurry

TV said Canada Swiss pre tournament game was being televised.
But what showed was the gold medal game from last season
Dam.

Captains and alternates named.
Looks like tv confusion stemmed from them changing pre games from 2 down to 1.
We play Russia Dec 23.

Guess what.
My son purchased 2 nose bleed tickets for that game. Wanted to take his son to his first live hockey game.
20 minutes after he ordered his tickets, was told that there will be a 50% capacity. His $100.00 tickets were in the nose bleed section.
Guess who will get to watch the game...TV worthy and most expensive tickets at the bottom.
He was told that the lottery will be announced on Thursday. He knows damn he won't get a seat , and will get his refund...but not the point.
His kid will not watch his first live hockey game...
What a scam!

50% of the people that purchased tickets are not going to be happy, those of us that planned to watch it on TV will still be happy ........ I hope ...... one outbreak of covid in the next 5 days could be a disaster for the entire tournament ........... then nobody watches it.

Hope he gets fully refunded, my son lives in etown and has season tickets to the oilers and got the packages for the world juniors now sits and waits to see what will transpire....I told him to get a box of beer and pull up a seat in my den...best seats in the world I say
Hope it works out for all who got tangled into this mess.
Ohh and another favourite of mine is the Spangler Cup in which Canada has pulled out of.....I am glad we didn’t make that trip as it has been on our radar for a few years.
