Had octopus soup in Mexico. Tiny ones about the size of your soup spoon. I liked it.

I’d eat it if someone cooked it for me. Not sure I’d be into cooking it myself. I know, weird, but that’s how I feel. Or maybe I’d chop it up. Not sure, lol.

I've had halibut cough up baby octopus in the boat a couple of times. I just put a hook through them, and sent them back down again as bait- but after reading this thread, I'll save them for the table next time.

How do you 'clean' an octopus body - or do you only eat the legs/tentacles ?

In the Azores Octopus is commonly served cooked in Olive Oil in a clay roofing tile

Cut the head off, hammer it, boil it for a half hour or so, season it and then grill for a few minutes a side. Tasty stuff! I usually buy it frozen with the head already gone but I'm sure this works for fresh too.
