my first boat bring on the open water
I bought my first boat a month ago its a 1983- 18ft Sylvan with a 115hp Evinrude motor, its in pretty good shape for its age , the interior is in very good shape It obviously must of been re-done recently. I am looking forward to take it out fishing and also to take the kids out, I have had a good icefishing season so its time for some open water.

Congrats on the new to you boat, looks like it's been well cared for. That stand up top is a nice option to have, will come in handy when you have the kids out. Nothing worse than having a new boat and waiting for open water eh? Make sure you have a spare for your trailer.
Enjoy!

Looks good, I have a similar one, it is a 1990 Super Sportster. My boat also has a 115 on it and have never really felt it was underpowered. I bought the boat in 1995 and have had it ever since. Fished tournaments for almost 25 years with it, in all kinds of conditions and still does leak a drop.

Sweet!!
I just bought a boat too. Wish I could afford something like that.
The one I bought is not nearly as nice. But it floats so it will do.
Congrats and happy boating!

worst part now is the wait for ice to melt and its going to feel like forever now. I have been looking for accessories to buy to pass the time and was going to buy a fish finder for it but don't want to spend a lot is the down imagining on the cheaper 250 to 300 dollar models worth it? If not I might just get a 150.00 one
