I sure hope there isn't ice in June.

Spring fishing is some of the best.

No ice on the water in June. Fish the shallows for big pike. Walleye will be hungry from thd spawn so you should do well.

We go at that time every year (this being year 5) last year was the best fishing we have had. Between 6 guys ( 2 boats) we figure we caught over 60 pike between 35-39" and about a dozen over 40" in the week. If you know the lake, it shouldn't be hard for you to find the fish. As Fishinggeeks stated, the pike are in the shallows and along any shelf from the shallows. You obviously won't find the fat fall walleye but we manage a few in the 10lbs range every year. We head up on the Friday as well, PM me if you wanna chat further.

Wait and see how spring progresses.

I used to go 1 week earlier than the week you are going, to a lake 2 hrs north of there. Fishing was always great except for the year there was a really late spring. Spawn wasn't quite finished that year and it did affect the fishing.
