Default Start of the DIY fish cam

I finally got all of the major components. The cam has 50m of cable and I am using the a generic backup cam screen for a monitor. one question back in the day you would go to radio shack for the connector bits but not any more. so where would I go to get that sort of stuff.

Out of paranoia I will plasti dip the unit to ensure it is water proof

Try Active Electronics (there is one in Calgary) or Electronic Connections not sure if they have a store in Calgary.

Cool idea...

What are your cost on the unit so far? Keep me posted on how it works in water. Thanks.

Go to hobby shops, depending where you are? I know in Calgary you can get connectors at Action hobby and PM hobby craft (north as the south store has limited stock).

Looking good though!!

Just at 200, but I had a battery, the plan is to combine this with my portable sounder.

I paid a bit more to get the longer cable, 99 % of what we do a 20m cable would have been fine, but we want to see the bottom of spray.

Now do I buy another aqua-vu dvr since wss has them on for cheap.
