Default Fishing

Please let me know logic of closing fishing o March 15.
You not allowed to keep "any" fish anyways.
Is this your safety- thin ice?
Is this pike spawning ?
What is it ?

If it's for spawning they've missed the mark with the dates. Sturgeon are in full spawn mode in the Oldman when the season opens May 8th....
