Lol, Hopefully your wrong and I enjoy it for many years to come !

But yes it is a good point you have, I also drove a Toyota Camry for years with no brake issues, Loved the car, miss it all the time, However the rare case of failure didn't mean its a bad product, Still one of the best . ( Just an example )

So one bad knot could have been a 1 in a million case or it could be a sign of things to come,Like you say, But trust me, if anything happens I will be sure to tell you first Lol LOL

Cool

What I was trying to point out , is that a figure of eight knot should not fail it is a jamb knot. It is possible a simple overhand knot was used at the factory . This knot can fail.

Can you explain what a "jamb" knot is?

A knot for the end of a running line on a sail boat (or other live line) .the knot will not pass through a block or a set of cam cleats . Or any knot used to stop a line passing through an object, like a pull start handle. The double cinch can be used as a jam knot also. A non jamb knot will pull through its self given enough pressure. A single cinch will not jamb correctly, and can be pulled through its self.
