Default Went Perch fishing

Well, freind and I made it out finally on my annual up north fishing trip for Perch. Ended up landing over 200 perch, rangeing from 5" to 14". Average around the 10" mark. We seemed to have the magic hook, everyone else on the lake was finding it slow.... we were landing them 1 after another. Great sunny day, warm weather. Just tons of snow and flood water. Got stuck a dozen or so times with the quad.

Well, ended up keeping 10 perch. 1 13", 3 12" and the rest around the 10" mark. Going to cook up a couple tonight. Should be yummy.

Would love to go back, but Sunday, but my buddy has to work, and I dont want to drive again.

Sounds like an awesome day on the ice. Wish we had some lakes closer to cow town with quality perch like that. Nice haul.

excellent catch bowhunter. I'm still on the hunt for my first perch. I've never had the privilege of landing any yet in my life. I did find a spot this winter I might try in the summer though. I'm gonna keep every big perch I can possibly catch when I do to spite HPF.

Dont take this the wrong way, but I'm not going to say where they were taken. Noone told me, my Brother and I did some research and found a few places to try. The reference materials are there for everyone if you look for them. I dont mean to be rude, but I choose not to share this one. I would take a person there if I knew they wouldnt take 5 others who would take 5 more and so on. All I will say, is that this lake is ATV or Snowmobile access only. Others do know of this lake, and the small crowds are what keep this lake as it is. Again my apologies for the silence.

Orange Lazer worm

Almost wish I kept a few more of them, that was the most delicious perch feast I have ever had. Ahh well, I'll try for a few more in the summer after the ice is off.
