Sounds like a crack like that'll get ya lynched around here lol. I've been lurking this forum a long time, and this seems to be a real hot button issue with a few idiots in this locale.

I killed a big female 2 weeks ago too because I like a bigass Pike fillet for supper, kinda tastes like Lobster if you do it right.

Default Huh????

HerdBull,

Oh yes … and bragging about keeping a spawning female certainly isn’t indicative of idiotic behavior either huh? I’d like to think that fishing will be a pastime available to future generations … then again … possibly not with “idiots in this locale”, as you so aptly put it, who are uninterested in conservation of sustainable natural resources.

The regs say what you can keep and what you can't so why do some harp on keeping a LEGAL fish? If you trust the people in charge of fish management, then what is your problem? Nice fish

So its in the regs that you can keep Pike over a certain size - then what is your problem with people doing just this?
Its a legal fish for goodness sake, and its the individuals choice whether to catch and release or keep it.

Nice fish btw
