Default lac st anne Burbot

I plan on taking my son fishing at Lac St Anne this weekend to try our luck at trying to land a Burbot. I have never had luck in open water only through the ice. Any tips or tricks out there?

Find structure, pound jig with bait into bottom at sunset and you should have success.
